Angels & Ancestors V, is a series of mangrove trees. Mangroves grow at the waters edge in groves and their roots create beautiful and strange geometric shapes as they reflect on the surface of the water. The mangrove sculptures are placed on top of a mirror base to imitate this effect. The mangrove trees covered with crystals are intended to invoke a notion of healing as well as refract light and color as one moves around the piece.
